ED Notes - PEx & FEx

Start Here: Disclaimer & Workflow

These are my personal notes that got me through the primary exam. All content is derived and rearranged based on freely available notes, dropbox folders, EDNotes, and DoctorsWriting pages, with the heavy help of OpenAI and Gemini 2.5.

MCQs are mostly autogenerated and come with heavy errors. They helped me study important random facts without wasting time, but treat them with caution.

My advice: Forget the textbooks. You will never get through the content AND be able to remember the facts that get tested.

Resources used:

  • Pharm: Speed Pharmacology, Physeo
  • Physio: Bytesized Med
  • Path: Pathoma
  • Anat: Anatomy Zone

(I hated Wests, Robbins, Guytons, and Moores. McMinn's was essential for Vivas.)

⚠️ Don't use my Anki deck, make your own.
Mine does not follow the minimum information principle and is very dense; it was used to cram on a 33-day schedule.

Workflow: Pick a topic → Watch a YouTube video → Make Anki to understand principles → Do questions to memorize simple facts. I did around 4000 questions not to "test" myself, but to learn from the randomness.
